Work With B-List Candidates

You will often find candidates on the B-List who are qualified for your job except that they are missing only one of the criteria in your job requisition.

To Find out why a B-List candidate was excluded from the A-List

  1. Log in to your Employers Toolbox.

  2. Scroll down to the Requisitions Management menu on the left side of the window. Click View/Edit My Requisitions. All of your requisitions tables will open with the Open Requisitions table at the top.

  3. Locate the Req ID number the Req # column. In the row for this Req #, click the number link in the B-List Matches Column. The B-List Matches table will open.

  4. To open a candidate's file, click on the candidate's name.

  5. To see the reason why the candidate was declined by the system, scroll down to the section called Candidate Comments to Employer (located just below the Job Functions section). Comments, such as, "This job does not accept out of province matches," explain why the candidate is on the B-List.

You may want to interview the B-List candidate, even though they do not meet one or more of your criteria. To do so, you need to move the candidate from the B-List to the A-List.

To Move a candidate from the B-List to the A-List

  1. To open the candidate's file, follow steps 1 to 4 in the above instructions.

  2. There are three buttons in the bar at the top of the candidate's file: List, Route and Move to A-List. To transfer the candidates file from the B-List to the A-List for this requisition, click Move to A-List . A red message will appear at the top of the candidate's file: "The candidate has been moved to matched!" Also, a "new Candidate Match" email alert will immediately be sent to you.

  3. To return to your Open Requistions Table, click the View/Edit My Requisitions link located just below the Brainhunter.com logo.

Now that you have moved the candidate to the A-List, you can use Brainhunter's system to request an interview with the candidate.
