What we do

At BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, we’re on a quest to ensure every kid in the province receives the best health care imaginable. As a fundraising organization, we inspire communities and people to support BC Children’s Hospital, along with its world-class research institute, mental health facility and rehabilitation center.

Our work makes a profound difference. From helping get the boldest research ideas off the ground to supporting the most advanced equipment, together we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in children’s health care. This is no small task—which is why we’re looking for passionate people to join our team and help propel our work forward to power the possible.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Philanthropy (EVP) and as a member of the leadership team, the Associate Vice-President, Corporate and Community will be instrumental in driving the development of business plans aligned with the strategic vision set by the CEO and EVP, ensuring sustainable and transformative revenue growth.  In this role, you will leverage your exceptional leadership skills to inspire, coach and mentor corporate and community direct reports – and their teams - to exceed ambitious goals and create lasting impact on the healthcare outcomes for children and youth in BC. You will foster cross-functional collaboration, driving innovation and aligning business units to amplify synergies, ensuring a cohesive and exceptional donor experience that maximizes stakeholder relationships.

More specifically, you will:

  • Champion the development and execution of fundraising strategies for corporate and community teams, focusing on the acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship of corporate, community, patient family, monthly, mid-level, and leadership annual donors, as well as provincial outreach, to exceed revenue and key performance indicators as established by the EVP, Philanthropy.
  • Lead the collaboration between departments to identify opportunities where business products are similar to ensure a consistent and exceptional donor experience that ignites donor passion and builds a robust donor pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the data analytics to lead a strategy to maximize the potential of annual donors.
  • Inspire, mentor and coach four direct reports and their teams to engage in BCCHF’s organizational vision, and embody the values of Think Big, Step Up, and Lead with Heart. Provide growth opportunities for team members to ensure career progression and succession planning within BCCHF.
  • Oversee key donor relationships within the teams, ensuring that strategic stewardship and personalized engagement are prioritized to maximize donor retention and growth.
