Job Summary

 

Salary Range: $67,861-$97,550/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.


Job Summary:

In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Provincial Health Services Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at PHSA, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.      Reporting to the Program Director and working in collaboration with the Director, Quality, Safety and Performance Improvement, the Quality Analyst provides assistance and support for quality, safety, program evaluation, and performance improvement projects.  The Quality Analyst provides information and support to projects identified as priorities for achieving organizational goals and improving quality and performance.  The Analyst requires the ability to collect, synthesize and present information to a wide range of audiences, and manage components of larger projects.  This position requires a strong working knowledge of mental health issues, excellent analytical skills and application of research and evaluation skills and procedures to practical situations.

Qualifications:

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences or health-related sciences and one (1) year recent experience in related research/evaluation/decision support in a mental health and addictions environment.
Leadership and Professional competencies include the ability to liaise with a wide variety of people including clinical teams, clients and other members of Quality, Safety and Performance Improvement; and strong oral and written communication skills, including strong interviewing skills; demonstrated initiative; ability to work well in a group or independently and under pressure; ability to apply academic knowledge to practical situations; competency in computer statistical analysis programs such as SPSS, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
