Job Summary

 

Salary Range: $74,618-$107,264/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.


Job Summary:

As such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Director, Food services, the Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of the business processes provided by the food service information system including the planning, analysis, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the system. The Manager develops and maintains appropriate databases supporting all system modules at all sites across inter-campus operations (ICO). Reviews, recommends and creates plans for changes required to the system to meet the day-to-day business requirements and future business needs. Provides training to internal staff on the food service information system, assigns, and maintains user groups, system documentation and education/training materials. Works in collaboration with the organization's Provincial Digital Health & Information Services (PDHIS) stakeholders/department, and other internal and external partners, as required. Supervises designated staff.

Qualifications:

Baccalaureate in the area of Food Services/Nutrition Management from an accredited university and/or current registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia or Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM), and five (5) years' experience with current food and nutrition information systems, preferably in a hospital environment. Hospital Food Service experience preferred.  One – two years’ experience with CBORD an asset.

Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate solutions to technical issues.  Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with technical, operational and vendor staff.  User-level technical problem-solving skills.  Strong customer service orientation.  Ability to work with end-users of varying skill levels at all levels of the organization. Ability to analyze work flow and systems applications in a clear, concise manner. Ability to utilize resources effectively. Positive, solution-oriented attitude in the workplace. Demonstrated knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware, basic Local Area Networks (Novell, Windows), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
